|
Tulalip Resort Casino, the Northwest's #1 place for fun, celebrated the Grand Opening of its new 12-story luxury hotel on Friday, August 15 with an exclusive guest reception. |

The event marked the end of a two-year, $130 million construction project and the beginning of a new era for the property as the largest and most distinctive meeting, gaming, entertainment and shopping destination in Washington State.
The Grand Opening reception was held at the hotel's new 15,000 square foot Orca Ballroom with a complementary event at the new Oasis Pool. More than 1,000 invited guests enjoyed festivities including a traditional Chinese Lion Dance performed by the Seattle Kung Fu Association, a welcome ceremony by Tulalip Tribes drummers and dancers, and dancing to live music performed by Type A! - a popular Northwest music group. Welcome speeches were given by Tulalip Resort Casino executives and members of the Tulalip Tribes Board of Directors.
'We have been eagerly awaiting this moment,' said Ken Kettler, president and COO of Tulalip Resort Casino. 'From the custom, Tulalip artisan designed carpets to the prints on the walls to the thorough training of our new staff, every last detail has been carefully considered and selected to create a truly exceptional experience for our guests. We are incredibly proud of the outcome.'
