New Hotel Brand - 'purplehotels' Opens in Scotland |
|
The Real Hotel Company launches its first Scottish hotel for its new brand of purplehotels on 7th February with the 103-bedroom purplehotel Glasgow/ Airport. |
The hotel will create 25 jobs locally and is just off Junction 26 of the M8 and four miles from Glasgow Airport. There are now 11 purplehotels (nearly 1,000 rooms) in the UK with plans for 4,000 rooms by 2012.
"purplehotels bring a new dimension to the market place with its "no frills chic style" providing clients with everything they need and nothing they don't need," explained Iain Hamilton, the new general manager.
The purplehotel Glasgow/ Airport won't make guests go purple when they see the price! With an opening offer of rooms from just GBP59 per night you get:
- A big bed with squishy duvet and bounceback pillows
- A walk-in supersize shower that even has a seat for your bits and bobs
- A bedroom fully air conditioned, wifi'd and flat screen TV's
- A great buffet breakfast
- A Café Bar open all day with big screen TV, major sports and news stations.
"We want purplehotels to be fun, informal, an 'open shirt' sort of place," explains Iain. "We have an unstuffy attitude to being genuinely helpful and making people feel welcome. Each hotel has poetry on the wall, cool music to relax with and a 'purple fragrance' designed especially for us. You can get off the road and stop travelling when you get to a purplehotel."
The 30 executive family rooms are ideal for Mum, Dad and two children (up to two children aged 14 and under stay and eat breakfast free) and of course the hotel is the perfect stop over for Glasgow Airport.
The purplehotel Glasgow/ Airport has four meeting rooms suitable for local businesses, meetings on the move or for guests needing space to get a project sorted. The largest room can accommodate 60 delegates theatre style. All the rooms are fully air conditioned, equipped with 8 hour chairs, cool lighting and a working wall with flip charts, white boards, pull down screen and all the usual yada yada. The entire hotel is Wifi enabled.
