  • InterContinental InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the owner of the Crowne Plaza brand, has announced the signing of a franchise agreement with CPH Hotel Management A/S for the new Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers.

The new-build hotel will open in late summer 2009, comprising 365 guest rooms. This will include four Suites and 39 Club Rooms, all offering the high levels of comfort, service and amenities expected from the Crowne Plaza brand. The hotel will also feature a restaurant plus a contemporary bar and lounge. Designed with the needs of the business traveller in mind, the 3,000mē conference and events centre offers 20 meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 800 delegates.

Situated a short Metro-ride away from down-town Copenhagen in the new Ørestad City, and with Copenhagen International Airport within easy reach, the new Crowne Plaza benefits from a prime location. Furthermore, given the proximity of Scandinavia's largest shopping centre - Fields - just across the street and the new PGA level Royal Golf Course only five minutes away, Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers is expected to appeal to both leisure and business travellers alike.
